Launch notes: 29 October 2026
Nacon's 'available now' post on 29 October 2026 is the launch record. The announcement includes launch patch notes comparing the full game with the Steam Next Fest demo, plus two reserves and an official count of 37 species.

What the post confirms
- The game is on sale for Windows, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Species count in the post: 37.
- Maps: Colorado and Texas, each described as about 100 km².
- The earlier demo-extension announcement said the demo would run until launch. No live demo download was found in this review.
Store prices that day are not inside the news post. I recorded them separately: Steam Standard $31.99 after 20 percent off a $39.99 list, consoles $49.99. Those figures live on the price page with their own sources, because a news post and a cash register are different documents.
Launch changes since the demo
Nacon's launch announcement is the single source for this change summary, checked 30 October 2026. It describes changes relative to the demo; it does not print a numbered game version or patch download size.
- Content: American Foxhound and Coonhound companions, the Beretta 500-Year Anniversary Collection, dog GPS/collars and new antler sets.
- Hunting: animal detection and herd adjustments, a hold-to-inspect option for following one animal, revised bow aiming and recoverable arrows, and revised tutorials and difficulty presets.
- Equipment and vehicles: corrections to weapon displays and carried models, plus vehicle traction, handling and physics changes.
- Presentation: map readability, animal-spotting audio, an option to disable spotting highlights, bagging-window changes, voiceover additions and animation/environment fixes.
- Stability: Nacon reports crash and memory-leak fixes, performance work, collision and ragdoll corrections, and localization updates. These are the publisher's claims, not measured performance results.
Version and download-size information
The announcement provides a list of changes and bug fixes but no numbered build or patch download size. Those fields remain unreported. Steam asks for 25 GB of available storage; that is a requirement, not a measured download, installed size or patch size. Roadmap items from the day before stay on the news hub and are not part of this launch note.
Early review scores from the same calendar day are on the review page. I am not folding a 75 and a 60 into this announcement.
