Hunting Simulator 3 vs Hunting Simulator 2
Hunting Simulator 2 is still the game a lot of search pages describe. It came out on 16 July 2020 from the same Ghent studio, at a $19.99 list price. Hunting Simulator 3 is the 29 October 2026 follow-up. Upgrading is a new purchase, not a patch.

HS2's Eastern Europe reserve does not carry forward as a third HS3 region. If that map is why you still launch the old game, HS3 does not replace it. The new Colorado and Texas are new builds, described by Nacon as about 100 km² each. I have not measured them.
Deluxe, again
Hunting Simulator 2 sold a Digital Deluxe. That name leaks into autocomplete for the new game. HS3's stores do not sell a Deluxe SKU. The premium buy is Apex Predator Edition. Read editions before you search for the old bonus name.
The hardware jump is the other real cost. A PC that ran HS2 on a GTX 560 Ti is under HS3's minimum. Check system requirements before you retire the 2020 install. Metacritic's 54 for HS2 is that game's score, not a prediction for the sequel.
Questions
Should I upgrade from Hunting Simulator 2?
Only if you want the 2026 reserves and you meet the RTX 2060 class minimum. HS2 remains the cheaper, lighter, three-map game, including Eastern Europe.
Does my HS2 Deluxe carry over?
Nothing I read says old edition bonuses move to HS3. Buy the new game as its own product.
